Potential of Melia dubia-wheat based agroforestry system to cope up with climate change

چکیده
Climate change has impact on agricultural production, because it raises CO2 levels in the atmosphere, which leads to higher temperatures. Agroforestry systems aid climate adaptation and mitigation by providing relatively lower temperature beneath tree canopy. Therefore, diversified are needed be identified studied throughout world that can help annual crops better survival conditions with least effects yield. Although food crop output agroforestry is than open regions, seen capable of supporting security, soil water conservation, land use diversification, micronutrient adequacy most importantly mitigation. The present study showed all parameters (i.e., DBH, height canopy spread) recorded intercropped (Melia dubia based system) were found compared trees devoid intercrops. Trees intercrops more spread, DBH (6.9 m, 16.3m, 56.6 m) as pure stand (6.6 16.2 55.6 Melia trees. depression (CTD) wheat grown was -5.58 0C whereas; -5.27 CTD non-shaded conditions. Significantly biological yield observed variety HD 3086 (134.9 q/ha 100.5 respectively). Study revealed M. provides perform favourable environment for growing terms lowering maintaining apt moisture raised beneath.

Modeling the effect of climate change to the potential invasion range of Piper aduncum Linnaeus
The potential effect of invasive plant species on biodiversity is one of most important subject of inquiry at present. In many parts of the world, the alarming spread of these plants has been documented. Knowing that climate exerts a dominant control over the distribution of plant species, predictions can therefore be made to determine which areas the species would likely spread under a climate...
متن کاملClimate change: linking adaptation and mitigation through agroforestry
Agriculture is the human enterprise that is most vulnerable to climate change. Tropical agriculture, particularly subsistence agriculture is particularly vulnerable, as smallholder farmers do not have adequate resources to adapt to climate change. While agroforestry may play a significant role in mitigating the atmospheric accumulation of greenhouse gases (GHG), it also has a role to play in he...
متن کاملResponse and potential of agroforestry crops under global change.
The use of agroforestry crops is a promising tool for reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration through fossil fuel substitution. In particular, plantations characterised by high yields such as short rotation forestry (SRF) are becoming popular worldwide for biomass production and their role acknowledged in the Kyoto Protocol. While their contribution to climate change mitigation is bei...
متن کاملThermal niche estimators and the capability of poor dispersal species to cope with climate change.
For management strategies in the context of global warming, accurate predictions of species response are mandatory. However, to date most predictions are based on niche (bioclimatic) models that usually overlook biotic interactions, behavioral adjustments or adaptive evolution, and assume that species can disperse freely without constraints. The deep subterranean environment minimises these unc...
متن کاملAgroclimatology and Wheat Production: Coping with Climate Change
Cereal production around the world is critical to the food supply for the human population. Crop productivity is primarily determined by a combination of temperature and precipitation because temperatures have to be in the range for plant growth and precipitation has to supply crop water requirements for a given environment. The question is often asked about the changes in productivity and what...
